This weekend, I had the chortle pleasure of seeing my movie Uncle on the big screen. My siblings and I endured the “Mike Lowrey” jokes for years, so I figured I’d lean into it. “Bad Boys: Ride or Die was a great watch and a must-see. Comedic greats Martin Lawrence and Will Smith brought action and comedy to the tetralogy. The Bad Boys franchise consistently gives global and domestic audiences entertaining cinema, grossing over 100 million at the box office on opening weekend, proving that moviegoers are still interested in the traditional theater setting.
I enjoyed watching Reggie’s character evolve without giving too many spoilers. I could see him and Armando playing bigger roles in the Bad Boys franchise’s future. As the Dynamic Duo always says, “It’s Bad Boys for Life.” I’d rate the film a 10/10; I highly recommend you see it and take a friend.
In Music, Kaytranada finally unveiled his highly anticipated album “Timeless.” The aptly named project is a 21-track creative concoction of infectious beats and some exceptional vocalists. My favored tracks are ‘Weird’ featuring Duran Bernarr. If you couldn’t tell by now, I’m really feeling Duran’s vocal abilities; I mean, he doesn’t miss any time I hear him sing. ‘Snap My Finger’ features music artist Pink Pantheress; the up-tempo pop beat puts me in a dancing, snap my fingers mood, and ‘Do 2 Me’ featuring Anderson Paak & Sir is a great collaboration. Well worth the wait,’ Timeless’.
