After 10 days, Kendrick rejoinders at Drake's "Taylor Made." The 6:24 response eases into the "ether" of a lyrical and verbal evisceration of Drakes's entire persona as a Rap artist and contender in the Big 3. Kendrick conceptualizes Drake's appeal to euphoria in a quintuple entendre' Drake asked for with his adlibs near the end of "Taylor Made." Kendrick titled the song Euphoria, emphasizing the definition and usage, alluding to the television series, which the Canadian rapper produces, and fired shots at allegations of interactions with minors. I guess he thought Kendrick was selling wolf tickets and now has been challenged to "Hurry up, and Buy"!
This is a classic case of " ask and you shall receive." The "Euphoria" track challenges Drakes's identity as a biracial person in a predominantly Black American culture. He admittedly states that he is a hater and dislikes what he sees as a false representation of hip-hop/ Rap culture. Kendrick does not hold back from his expression of sentiments. His lyrical rant is composed of analogies ("gotta Benjamin and a Jackson all in my house like I'm Joe, okay"), puns ("If I catch flight, it's gone be direct"), and metaphors ("I'm allergic to the lame shit"). Euphoria" accentuated Kendrick's icks about Drake addressing them all after a decade of subliminal, passive-aggressive, sneak dissing. The feud over who is the current reigning King of Hip Hop is no longer for dispute. Just when they thought the West was lost, K. Dot spun his head with a soliloquy.
